Dan joined Family Business Advisers in 2011 and brings a strong background in individual and organizational performance solutions to the team. He has worked at the “C” level for several companies in a variety of industries. He specializes in coaching and working with senior leadership teams of family and publicly owned companies to accelerate their business results, especially at times when they are facing difficult, strategic challenges in their market.
Dan’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Ambrose University and a Master of Arts degree in Legal Studies from Antioch School of Law. His continuing education continues to focus on business, organizational psychology, and legal studies. He has been a contributing author in several books associated with accelerated business performance, conflict resolution, and team building.
Since 1996, he has gained national recognition in business start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, and community development; and he frequently speaks before local, state, and national organizations about leadership and change. Dan has taught for the University of Iowa’s Executive MBA program and is former Chairman of the Board of Governors for Leadership Iowa, a statewide leadership program sponsored by the Iowa Association of Business and Industry.
